The fame of this bread has crossed the borders, and demand is pouring in from outside the city.

The "Küllüoba bread," produced by the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality and inspired by the 5,000-year-old bread unearthed during the Küllüoba Mound excavations in the Seyitgazi district, continues to attract public interest. Halk Ekmek Vice President Serap Güler stated that the product has been in high demand since its launch in May, and that they have also received orders from outside the city.

Küllüoba bread, discovered during the Küllüoba Mound excavations and described as "the first example of burnt bread," is produced at the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Public Bread Factory with ingredients true to the original. The product was introduced in May and went on display at the Eti Archaeological Museum.

"WE BROUGHT CULTURAL VALUES TO THE PUBLIC"

Güler emphasized that Küllüoba bread is produced with the same exact ingredients, saying, "Küllüoba bread is our historic bread from 5,000 years ago. This bread, found in Seyitgazi, is analyzed and we are producing it with the same ingredients as the original. With the support of our President Ayşe Ünlüce, we have brought this cultural treasure to the public."

INTEREST IS INCREASING EVERY DAY

Güler, noting that feedback from citizens has been positive, said, "There has been intense interest since May. It's a very healthy product because it's made with flour made from geranium wheat. Initially, we produced 900 loaves per day, but now, depending on demand, we're producing around 500. Citizens frequently express their satisfaction with both its taste and its historical context."

REQUESTS ARE COMING FROM OUTSIDE THE CITY TOO

Güler, noting that they've also received product requests from outside the city, said, "Many citizens are calling us asking us to ship Küllüoba bread. However, because our bread doesn't contain any additives, its freshness lasts only for a limited time. Therefore, we can't currently ship outside the city. People can purchase the product from our Halk Ekmek kiosks and producer markets."

Güler, noting that their daily production capacity has reached up to 1,000 loaves, said, "We can increase our production as demand increases. We produce daily based on demand. Küllüoba bread has now found its place on the tables of Eskişehir residents, and we are very pleased with this interest."
