All eyes on Russia-Ukraine summit! Zelensky in Ankara

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy arrived in Ankara to meet with AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Zelensky's plane landed at Esenboğa Airport at around 12:00 noon.

KREMLIN: PUTIN WILL NOT COME TO ISTANBULKremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin will not travel to Istanbul. Kremlin spokesman Peskov said Putin is unlikely to participate in peace talks in Ukraine.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova made statements regarding the Russia-Ukraine talks hosted by Türkiye in Istanbul at a press conference in the capital Moscow.
Recalling that Russian President Vladimir Putin offered Ukraine unconditional and direct negotiations to resume in Istanbul on May 11, Zakharova underlined that this offer was made to eliminate the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis and to ensure long-term peace.
Zakharova said, "As we have stated many times before, Russia is ready for serious negotiations. The Russian delegation has arrived in Istanbul and is ready to do serious work."
TRUMP: I MAY GO TO Türkiye ON FRIDAYTrump said he could come to Türkiye on Friday at a press conference in Doha. Making an assessment of the peace talks to be held between Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul, Trump said, "I may be in Istanbul on Friday. I said if I don't go, Putin won't come, and I was right."
