5.2 magnitude earthquake hits Konya
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay said, “I would like to convey my best wishes to all citizens affected by the earthquake in our Kulu district. We are in communication with our teams regarding the latest situation.”
In a statement made by the Ankara Governorship, it was said, “According to the information received through the center or other channels, no reports of any loss of life or property, destruction or negative situation were received; our teams immediately started field scanning and examinations.”
Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya stated that AFAD and all relevant institutions have started field scanning and said, "There is no negative situation as of now."
Yerlikaya's statement is as follows:
“Regarding the earthquake that was also felt in the surrounding provinces, AFAD and all teams of our relevant institutions immediately started field scans. As of now, there is no negative situation.
I offer my best wishes to our citizens affected by the earthquake.
May God protect our country and our nation from disasters.”
