Sweden's NATO Documents Found in Airport Toilet

Leading Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter (DN) revealed that government documents from the NATO meeting were found in an airport restroom. According to the report, the folder containing diplomatic notes from the NATO meeting, which took place in the fall of 2022, was discovered by cleaning staff at Stockholm's Arlanda Airport.
The documents were reportedly forgotten by a Swedish official returning from Türkiye. The folder allegedly contained sensitive diplomatic information.
The Prime Ministry announced in a statement that the documents in the folder were not classified as "secret" and that no security investigation was necessary. The incident has once again raised the issue of Sweden's security concerns regarding its NATO accession process.
