Highways warns: The state of highways across Türkiye

The General Directorate of Highways published the Road Condition Bulletin dated October 13, 2025. Drivers were asked to be careful due to maintenance, repair, and construction work carried out on many highways and roads across the country.
INTENSIVE WORK ON ANATOLIAN AND TEM HIGHWAYSAt the Bolu Mountain crossing, located between kilometers 0 and 11 of the Kaynaşlı Junction-Abant Junction section of the Anatolian Highway, paving work is underway on the face of the extended tunnel portal structure. As part of this work, the Istanbul-bound direction will be closed to traffic every weekday between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. During this period, drivers will be directed to the D-100 state highway at the Abant Junction and will be able to reconnect to the highway at the Kaynaşlı Junction.
Due to superstructure repair and renewal works between kilometers 0-6 of the TEM Highway, between the Gebze Junction and Dilovası Junction, the Istanbul-Ankara direction of the highway has been closed to traffic. Transportation is being diverted from the Gebze Junction to the D-100 highway. In addition, entrances to the TEM Highway Gebze toll booths from the D-100 highway have been closed. Within the scope of the work, the branch coming from the Osmangazi Bridge at the Muallimköy Junction and connecting to the Ankara direction of the TEM Highway, as well as the branch coming from the Northern Marmara Motorway and connecting to the Ankara direction of the TEM Highway, have been closed to traffic. These vehicles will be able to continue in the Istanbul direction and exit onto the D-100 highway from the Gebze Junction. The work is being carried out on a 24-hour basis.
REPAIR AND CONTROLLED TRANSPORTATION ON REGIONAL ROADSDue to repair of earthquake damages between kilometers 0-1 of the Bahçe Junction-Nurdağı Junction section of the TAG Highway, transportation is provided in a controlled manner. Superstructure renovation work is being carried out between kilometers 16-20 of the İzmir-Turgutlu road, therefore transportation is provided in two directions on a section of the divided road. Due to construction work continuing between kilometers 0-5 of the Nevşehir-Aksaray road, transportation is also provided in two directions on a section of the divided road. Due to road construction works between kilometers 0-5 of the Korkuteli-Antalya road, transportation continues in two directions and in a controlled manner on a section of the divided road.
Due to the superstructure renewal works that started between the 0th and 2nd kilometers of the Karabük-Arac road as of October 13, 2025, transportation will be provided in a controlled manner in both directions, especially in the Kardemir Junction area. It has been reported that drivers should pay attention to traffic signs and signalers due to the construction and repair works carried out between the 21st and 26th kilometers of the Altköy-Refahiye-Erzincan road.
Due to ongoing road construction between kilometers 8 and 13 of the Diyarbakır-Bismil-Batman highway, two-way traffic is being provided on a section of the divided highway. Drainage systems and curbside cleaning are being carried out in 20 tunnels between kilometers 4 and 37 of the Artvin-Erzurum highway. As part of this process, traffic will be limited to a single lane and controlled between 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. from October 13-17.
The General Directorate of Highways warned drivers to be careful in work areas and obey traffic signs and signals.
