An explosion shook Hatay overnight! A fire broke out in a bakery.

An explosion occurred at a bakery in the Yeni Mahalle neighborhood of the Samandağ district of Hatay province around 8:30 p.m. The bakery, which has a house above it, was reportedly unoccupied at the time. The explosion, which occurred for an as yet unknown reason, shattered the shop's windows and sparked a fire.

Residents of the building in front of the bakery and their relatives, NB, YA, NB, NB, AHK, HB, SB, ES, and BB, were injured during the explosion. Police, paramedics , and firefighters were dispatched to the scene after bystanders alerted them. The injured were taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The fire that broke out following the explosion was brought under control before it could spread thanks to the rapid response of firefighters. While material damage was caused to the bakery and building, police have launched a comprehensive investigation. Investigations into the cause of the explosion are reportedly ongoing.
