Terrible accident in the USA! Navy ship crashed into historic bridge

A frightening accident occurred in New York, USA. A training ship belonging to the Mexican Navy crashed into the Brooklyn Bridge, one of the city's iconic structures, at 20:26 local time. The ship, which had a crew of 277, crashed into the road deck of the bridge.

The New York Police Department's harbor unit and divers quickly arrived at the scene. The moments when the ship hit the Brooklyn Bridge were quickly shared on social media, and authorities reported that at least 19 people were injured, four of whom were in serious condition. The injured were taken to the Brooklyn Naval Shipyard and nearby hospitals.

SOME PARTS COLLAPSED In the images recorded by the cameras, it was noticed that the masts of the ship were broken and some sections of it were partially collapsed.

Following the accident, emergency aid was provided to the injured, and the ship was later towed to shore and the bridge reopened to traffic.
