Decision to withdraw from the league from the team that was promoted to the TFF 3rd League

Bursa representative Fethiye İdman Yurdu Sports Club, which rose to the TFF 3rd League as the champion of the Regional Amateur League 8th Group in the 2024-2025 season, announced on its social media account that it has decided to withdraw from the league. In a statement made by the club, it was stated that the decision was a protest against systemlessness, neglect and insensitivity.
The following statements were made in the statement made by Fethiye İdman Yurdu Sports Club:
“Founded in 1973 in the Fethiye Neighborhood of Bursa, Fethiye İdman Yurdu Sports Club has written an unparalleled success story in the history of Turkish football in the last three years by reflecting the faith, youth and passion of a neighborhood on the field. Our team, which became champions in the Amateur League in the 2021-2022 season and rose to the Super Amateur League, became champions once again with the determination it showed in the Super Amateur in the 2023-2024 season and stepped into the Regional Amateur League. We have proven that this rise is not a coincidence, but a product of faith and effort by advancing to the 3rd League as BAL League champions in the 2024-2025 season. The championships won one after another have shown what neighborhood spirit, devotion and pure love of football can achieve. Unfortunately, however, sporting success alone is not enough. Competing in professional leagues in our country is possible not only with the sweat of football players; but also with a strong infrastructure, a solid transportation network, sustainable financial resources and most importantly, the support of local governments. We, We did our best to go further on the road. We reached out to Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, Nilüfer Municipality and relevant ministries many times and conveyed our requests for facilities, a bus allocated to our club and general support. In each meeting, we expressed what we did, our goals and that we did not expect luxury from anyone, only equality and justice.
But unfortunately, our calls remained unanswered. Neither an infrastructure support that would contribute to the development of our youth, nor a bus to take our players to away games, nor a financial contribution that would meet our most basic needs were provided. We took the field to honor this city and this neighborhood. But unfortunately, the hands that should have stood behind us did not turn to us. For this reason, we are deeply saddened to announce that Fethiye İdman Yurdu Sports Club has decided to withdraw from the 3rd League. This decision is not just a withdrawal; it is a protest of systemlessness, neglect and insensitivity. Today, we are not the losers. The loser is Bursa football, which turned its back on its youth and values.”
