A 26-year-old sergeant performing traffic control was martyred.

On the Kütahya-Çavdarhisar highway, a car driven by Abdullah D. lost control near the Göynükören intersection and crashed into 26-year-old Sergeant Yücel Yeşil, a gendarmerie traffic officer conducting a road check in the opposite lane. After the accident was reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center, medical, gendarmerie, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The medical team pronounced Yeşil dead at the scene.

Following examination, the martyr's body was sent to the Kütahya City Hospital morgue. It was learned that Yeşil's wife was pregnant with their second child and was due to give birth in three days. Meanwhile, the injured driver's wife, Rukiye, and their children, Ruveyda and İsmail D., were taken to the same hospital by paramedics.

It was stated that the detained car driver, Abdullah D., was taken to the Provincial Gendarmerie Command.
