Ryanair is abandoning Tenerife North and Vigo airports, closing its base in Santiago, and moving one million seats to Italy and Morocco.

Ryanair is raising the bar in its war against Aena following the latest increase in airport charges. As ABC reported, the airline announced this Wednesday a reduction of one million seats for the winter season at regional airports, after implementing a similar cut in the summer season, which amounted to 800,000 seats. The new adjustment will also mean the abandonment of the airports of Valladolid and Jerez during this period, but this time the infrastructure of Vigo and Tenerife North is being added to that list. Santiago is also heavily affected, where the Irish low-cost carrier is closing its base and removing two aircraft from there to deploy to Italy, Morocco, Croatia, and Albania, where the company says it will transfer the capacity cut in Spain.
(There will be an extension).
