Inflation in June was 1.6% and reached 15.1% during the first half of the year.

As it does every month, the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INDEC) published its monthly inflation report this Monday, the 14th. This study revealed that price growth in June was 1.6 %. Overall, cumulative inflation during the first half of 2025 reached 15.1 %; while the year-over-year figure rose to 39.4 %.
In its latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) report, INDEC reported that the June increase in prices slightly, by 0.1 percentage points, compared to May.

Regarding the sectors that saw the most changes, the highest inflation was in Education , at 3.7 %, due to increases in tuition fees for educational services. This was followed by Housing, Water, Electricity, and Other Fuels , at 3.4 %, explained by increases in housing rents and related expenses.
On the other hand, the indicators that changed the least during the sixth month of the year were Clothing and Footwear and Food and Non-alcoholic Beverages , with just 0.5 % and 0.6 % increases, respectively. Regarding categories, Regulated prices led the increases, rising 2.2%; followed by the Core CPI , which changed 1.7%; and finally, Seasonal prices, which decreased 0.2% in June. During the same period, goods increased 0.8%, while services posted a rise of 3.2%.
The report also detailed price variations by region. Greater Buenos Aires had the highest inflation rate, at 2%, followed by Patagonia , at 1.8%. Meanwhile, inflation in the Pampas region was 1.3%; 1.2% in the Northwest ; 1.1% in the Northeast ; and 1% in Cuyo , where the CPI variation was lowest.
