Croatia are two up? No, the flag is quickly up for offside. The momentum is entirely with Croatia at the moment.

It's all square and despite some dominance from Portugal, Croatia are still in it.

Endrick has bonded with Brazilian icon Neymar by playing cards and sharing jokes with one another. Neymar is the golden boy of Brazil, a title Endrick looks set to inherit when he comes off age.
Speaking to ESPN, the Real Madrid sensation opened up about his time spent with the Brazilian legend at the World Cup. He said: "I have a very good relationship with Ney. We joke around after training, play cards, and chat.
"On our day off, we were together, we talked. It is very important to talk to people who are captains of the national team, like Marquinhos, Casemiro, and Alisson."
He added: "Getting experience from them is a wonderful thing. They are people who understand football. Knowing more about this is very good.
"And it is not being different with Ney. We sit side by side on the bench too. I will try to get the most out of it, because I still have a long time left in my career."

Luka Modric will be the captain of Croatia for their World Cup round of 32 battle against Portugal.
Do you think this will be his final match as a player?

Cristiano Ronaldo will lead Portugal out for their World Cup round of 32 battle against Croatia - but you already knew that.
Here is how Roberto Martinez's side will line-up.

Cristiano Ronaldo's sister Katia Aveiro seemingly suggested this World Cup will be her iconic brother's last.
The Portugal captain will lead his nation out for their round of 32 clash against Croatia this evening. However, if they lose, it could be his last match, according to his sister.
Speaking to Portuguese broadcaster SportTV roughly an hour before kick-off, Katia Aveiro disclosed: "From the information I have, they can say goodbye. Enjoy it while it lasts.
"It's not today that they're saying goodbye, but it's soon. I believe this is their farewell. Enjoy it a lot. It will be difficult to find someone like him.
"I'm talking about the national team. The information I have, from a reliable source, I believe this is his last dance. For intelligent people, those who like football have to like Ronaldo.
"Those who don't like Ronaldo don't like football. They're the ones who lose out. He's been tearing it up for over 20 years. Do they think we're not happy? Look where we are, the Aveiro family, and where we came from.
"We've achieved so much, considering where we came from... after the struggle we went through, what my brother went through, the achievements my mother had... Do they think the criticism will interfere with our happiness? Never."

US secretary of state Marco Rubio believes the USA were "screwed" by Folarin Balogun's red card against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The former Arsenal ace was deemed to have made a reckless and dangerous challenge and was given a straight red card, after the official consulted the VAR pitch-side monitor. Mauricio Pochettino's side reached the round of 16 regardless, but will be without Balogun for their clash against Belgium.
When asked how he feels the team are doing, Rubio said: "They got screwed with that red card. There needs to be an appeal process for that."

And that's the game. It's an easy 3-0 win for Spain, who are starting to look like contenders.
Up next for the Spanish will be one of Croatia or Portugal, who face each other later tonight.

And that's the perfect end to an almost fautless performance from the European champions. Marc Cucurella slides a wonderful low pass across the penalty area and Mikel Oyarzabal is there to score his second.
It's the same combination which downed England in the Euro 2024 final. Spain's 0-0 draw with Cape Verde now feels like a very long time ago.
P.s. Oyarzabal now has 17 goals in 16 games for his country - WOW!

Rodrigo De Paul admits it feels like a privilege to be Lionel Messi's mate both on and off the pitch. De Paul has become one of Messi's closest confidantes in the Argentina squad. The duo helped lead Lionel Scaloni's men to World Cup glory in Qatar in 2022. And are now on a mission to repeat the feat in North America, to become just the third team in history to win back-to-back titles.De Paul has also become Messi's enforcer during games. And the no-nonsense midfielder said: "It means a lot to be a good friend of his. "Friendship is one of the most important things that we all have. I consider myself a lucky man sharing moments on and off the pitch with Lionel. It makes me really proud."Messi is now 39 and this is expected to be his last World Cup. Which means he could have a maximum of just five more games to play on the greatest stage of all.But De Paul, whose side face Cape Verde in the last 32, is refusing to think like this. He added: "No. I don't think it right to think this way. Thinking about the potential games we still have with him. "It's not good to think this way. The main thing is to enjoy him every single day, like every Argentinean citizen does. "We always value things more that we don't have anymore. That's part of life. But we must always remember our main goal, which is this match."
That may be the game right there. Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro has ghosted into the box and headed a strong header into the bottom corner.
That was Spain at their very best. Marc Cucurella finds Baena, who takes to the touchline and cuts the ball back onto Porro's head.
It's a long way back for Austria now!
Austria have created their best chance of the second half. Marcel Sabitzer's cross is met on the head by Sasa Kalajdzic, but he can't keep his header down.
A warning shot from Ralf Rangnick's side!
Whoa, they're halfway there!
Spain have one foot in the round of 16 after Mikel Oyarzabal opened the scoring late in the half following a good move with Marc Cucurella finding him in the box to sweep home.
It's been a pretty one-sided affair so far, and Austria are going to have to come out and get a goal in the second half, which could play right into the hands of the Spanish team as they look to hit on the counter.
Marc Cucurella has fired into the net - but a whistle has gone up.
A challenge from Pau Cubarsi on the Austrian goalkeeper has been flagged as a foul!

Even Lionel Messi isn’t immune to a humbling experience sometimes. Which is what he was subjected to upon arriving back in his adopted home of Miami.
Messi and the rest of the Argentina squad were subject to a farcical security check on the tarmac by airport staff, when landing in Messi’s adopted home ahead of their last 32 clash with Cape Verde.
There is no truth in suggestions the security personnel were looking for the World Cup trophy. At least Messi took it well.
He could be seen laughing and joking as he emptied the pockets of his shorts. Argentina will train at Inter Miami’s stadium today, behind closed doors.
Familiar surroundings for Messi of course, who plays for the MLS club co-owned by David Beckham. And somewhere he is sure to get a friendlier welcome once he rocks up.
