Ozan Doğulu was defrauded and lost millions
Persuaded by promises of investment, Doğulu lost 12 million lira to the scammers. The artist, who realized the situation too late, realized the truth when the scammers asked for money again and fled to safety.
According to a report on Ekol TV, Doğulu contacted the suspects through a "Forex investment" ad he saw on social media. Having gained their trust, the suspects received millions of lira from Doğulu under the guise of investments. Twelve million lira was transferred to various foreign exchanges. Cybercrime teams tracked the money, and an operation was launched to apprehend the suspects.
Following Ozan Doğulu's complaint, Istanbul Police Department Cybercrime Units launched a large-scale investigation. It was determined that 12 million lira had been distributed across five foreign exchanges. The units launched an operation to apprehend the suspects.
