NASA and Netflix Partner: Rocket Launches to Be Streamed Live on Netflix

NASA has partnered with Netflix to bring space missions to a wider audience. Starting this summer, NASA+ live streams will be available to watch on Netflix. The streams will include rocket launches, astronaut spacewalks, mission broadcasts, and live Earth views from the International Space Station.
NASA, which wants to reach Netflix’s global audience of over 700 million people, describes this partnership as “The Golden Age of Innovation and Discovery.” The broadcasts will not be exclusive to Netflix; they can also be watched for free on the NASA app and official website.
The move is Netflix’s second major foray into the live streaming space, as the platform, which has previously aired the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing match and the NFL Christmas games, is also in the process of acquiring the US rights to Formula 1.
The exact date for NASA+ broadcasts has not yet been announced, but they are scheduled to begin this summer.
