Foreign doctors observed the method developed by Turkish doctors on site.

Developed three years ago by Prof. Dr. Yavuz Kocabey, President of the Turkish Sports Injuries Arthroscopy and Knee Surgery Association (TUSYAD), the "Kocabey Press Fit technique," which stands out worldwide as a single-session method for anterior cruciate ligament surgery, has begun to attract the attention of physicians abroad.
Physicians from Romania and Greece observed the surgery performed by Prof. Dr. Kocabey, Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic Training Manager Prof. Dr. Cemil Ertürk, and their team at the Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital.

🔹 AA Live for instant developmentsProf. Dr. Kocabey told an AA correspondent that he has been using the technique he developed for three years and has applied it to approximately 500 patients.
Kocabey stated that no implants are used in the method, thus eliminating the risk of bleeding and edema, and that the patient recovers quickly with very little pain.
Kocabey explained that patients can move freely in the early postoperative period, saying, "The patient can easily bend their knees up to 90 degrees the next day. Previously, there were methods called 'Bone Patellar Tendon Bone (BTB),' which were considered the gold standard for many years. Our method provides faster recovery than these techniques."
Kocabey, who explained that he introduced the technique he developed to literature under his own surname, continued as follows:
Doctors from abroad are coming to Türkiye to see and experience this method. Today, doctors from Romania and Greece examined the technique. The Kocabey Press Fit technique will be presented at a meeting in Poland next month. Thus, we will be proud to see a method developed in Türkiye spread globally.
Prof. Dr. Cemil Ertürk also stated that the method began to be used three years ago and that it has been used successfully in his own clinics during this period.
Ertürk stated that the technique was developed to eliminate the problematic aspects of the two basic methods existing in the world and to bring their advantages together, adding, "It has now been published and accepted in the world literature."
Prof. Dr. Ertürk stated that the Kocabey Press Fit technique has been introduced in training and research hospitals in Türkiye, and noted the following:
"We are now moving to a different phase. Our colleagues from abroad can observe surgeries on-site, ask questions, and have the opportunity to objectively observe the procedure. We offered them the opportunity to observe this technique in the operating room. Our goal is to spread this method globally."
