A well-established jeweler exporting to 30 countries files for bankruptcy

İnci Kuyumculuk A.Ş., one of Türkiye's leading jewelry companies, and its affiliate, Maya Dizayn Kuyumculuk A.Ş., have entered financial difficulties and are on the verge of bankruptcy. The company has filed for bankruptcy. The Bakırköy 3rd Commercial Court of First Instance has granted a three-month temporary stay for both companies.
ALL PROCEEDINGS AND LIEN PROCEDURES OF COMPANIES HAVE BEEN SUSPENDEDThe court decision stated that İnci Kuyumculuk and Maya Dizayn Kuyumculuk applied for composition under the relevant articles of the Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law, and that a temporary reprieve was granted after the documents were determined to be complete. According to Murat Beyaz from Sözcü, all enforcement and seizure proceedings were suspended during this period to protect the companies' assets. Furthermore, three temporary composition commissioners were appointed to assess the success of the composition.
According to the decision, creditors can object to the decision by submitting a petition within seven days of the announcement. The case file was filed under docket number 2025/782, and the preliminary examination and first inquest hearing were scheduled for December 11, 2025.
