The SOM-J cruise missile, developed by TÜBİTAK SAGE, successfully completed its firing test, demonstrating its maneuverability and close-to-surface flight capabilities to avoid defense and radar systems.
Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced that the domestically produced cruise missile SOM-J proved itself in a firing test where its close-range flight capabilities were demonstrated.
Minister Kacır shared a post on his social media account about the SOM-J cruise missile developed by the TÜBİTAK Defense Industry Research and Development Institute (SAGE).
Kacır announced that the SOM-J successfully proved itself in the firing test, demonstrating its defensive capabilities, challenging maneuvers to avoid radar systems, and close-to-surface flight capabilities. He also congratulated all stakeholders involved.
