Breaking news... 5.8 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Muğla

AFAD announced that a 5.8 magnitude earthquake occurred off the coast of Marmaris district of Muğla at 02:17. It was reported that the earthquake, which was 10.43 kilometers away from Marmaris district, occurred at a depth of approximately 68 kilometers.
Kandilli Observatory also announced that the epicenter of the earthquake was off the coast of Bozburun and its magnitude was 5.7.

ALSO FELT IN SURROUNDING PROVINCES
The earthquake was felt strongly in the areas of Izmir, Muğla, Denizli and Antalya. Citizens took to the streets.
"THERE IS NO NEGATIVE SITUATION YET"
Speaking on NTV, Marmaris Mayor Acar Ünlü said that they felt the earthquake strongly and that no negative situation had been reported yet.
GOVERNOR AKBIYIK: FIELD WORKS CONTINUE
Muğla Governor İdris Akbıyık, who made a statement about the earthquake on his social media account, said, "As of now, there is no negative situation in our province due to the 5.8 magnitude earthquake that occurred off the coast of Marmaris. Field scanning studies are continuing. I wish all our citizens a speedy recovery."
AHMET ARAS: OUR TEAMS ARE ON ALERT
Muğla Mayor Ahmet Aras also stated in his post that no negative reports had been received.
Aras shared the following:
"The 5.8 magnitude earthquake that occurred approximately 10 km from Marmaris was felt throughout our province. I have received information that no negative reports have reached our units as of now. Our teams are on duty in a state of alert. I convey my get well soon wishes to all my fellow citizens. Get well soon to all of us."
