Chamber of Electrical Engineers examined the place where President Zeyrek had the accident: It is not suitable!

Chamber of Electrical Engineers (EMO) President Mahir Ulutaş announced the first findings regarding the pool where Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek was electrocuted. Ulutaş said, "Serious problems were observed in the electrical room design that were not suitable for wet areas" regarding the place where Zeyrek was electrocuted.
Ulutaş's post from the X account is as follows:
"We wish Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek a speedy recovery. A committee including an experienced colleague who is a member of EMO has been assigned for the prosecutor's office's preliminary technical investigation into the accident, and a detailed report will be issued in due time.
According to initial findings, rust was observed in the electrical installation and protection equipment, and serious problems were observed in the electrical room design, which is not suitable for wet areas. It is understood that there is a leak in the motor as a result of intense humidity and that the protection equipment is not doing its job."
WHAT HAPPENED?Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek wanted to check the engine room for a malfunction in the pool in the garden of his house in the Keçiliköy Neighborhood and was electrocuted at that moment.
Zeyrek, 48, was taken to Manisa Celal Bayar University Hafsa Sultan Hospital by medical teams who provided first aid at the scene.
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel said that the seriously injured Zeyrek's heart stopped for 70 minutes.
Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. İsmet Topçu announced that Zeyrek's general condition was critical.
