Burkay Adalığ says about London's Soho: "Piccadily and Soho are to London what Taksim and Cihangir are to Istanbul. Just a few minutes' walk from Piccadily, one of the city's liveliest squares, Soho is one of London's most enjoyable neighborhoods."

According to the BBC, an event was held at the GA-Y bar in Soho to reduce sexually transmitted infections. The event included gonorrhea vaccinations and antibiotics.

Lawrence O'Connel, a nurse from Britain's National Health Service and one of the event's organizers, said stigma and anxiety can prevent people from seeking solutions for their health. He added that they wanted to meet people in a "visible place."

While a long queue formed in front of the bar for vaccines and medicine, the music and party inside the bar continued unabated.

Nurse O'Connell emphasized that treatments alone are not the solution and that condoms and protection before sexual intercourse are also essential.

Research has shown that 70 percent of gonorrhoea cases in London are among gay and bisexual men.

Two more events will be held at the 'GA-Y' bar today (September 18) and on September 25 between 16.00-19.00.
