The 1915 Çanakkale Bridge served approximately 7 million vehicles in 3 years

Uraloğlu stated in his written statement that the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge and the 101-kilometer Malkara-Çanakkale Highway have provided uninterrupted land transportation in the Çanakkale Strait for 3 years.
Referring to the 100th year of the Republic, Uraloğlu pointed out that the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, which is the world's longest mid-span suspension bridge with a central span of 2,023 meters, is one of Turkey's most important transportation projects, and said, "The total length of the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge is 3,563 meters, and with the 365 and 680-meter approach viaducts, the crossing length reaches 4,608 meters. The 318-meter-high steel towers of the bridge were built in dedication to the Çanakkale Victory, and with the 16-meter cannonball figures that commemorate Corporal Seyit, the total height reaches 334 meters."
Uraloğlu emphasized that the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge went down in history as the world's longest central-span twin-deck suspension bridge, and that the project was an important part of the national development drive.
"Bosphorus crossing reduced to 6 minutes"
Uraloğlu stated that the Kınalı-Tekirdağ-Çanakkale-Savaştepe Highway, which completed the Marmara Highway ring, provided an uninterrupted highway connection in the Çanakkale Strait with the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, which is the most critical crossing point, and made the following assessments:
"The Bosphorus crossing time has decreased to 6 minutes. The bridge and Malkara-Çanakkale Highway have been equipped with smart transportation systems. The bridge and highway have been equipped with the most advanced technology with the 225,250-meter-long fiber optic communication infrastructure, event detection camera systems, meteorology measurement stations and emergency call systems used in the project. The 1915 Çanakkale Bridge has served approximately 7 million vehicles in the last 3 years. Thanks to the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge and the Malkara-Çanakkale Highway, the project has saved 24 billion liras in time and 1.3 billion liras in fuel, for a total of 25.3 billion liras per year. We have also reduced carbon emissions that are harmful to the environment by 81 thousand tons."
