Minister Kurum: Let's put an end to our earthquake nightmares together

The first 3 stages of the Tozkoparan Neighborhood Urban Transformation Project, implemented by Emlak Konut and carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and Güngören Municipality, have been completed. 1,179 houses and 43 commercial units were built in the region. The construction of 743 houses and 37 workplaces continues within the scope of the 4th stage works, which are continuing under the coordination of the Urban Transformation Presidency. Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum shared the images of Kenan-Habibe Temel, who bought their new house in Tozkoparan Neighborhood, on his social media account and said, "Our brother Kenan trusted his state, his life changed. Instead of his house with rotten iron, he is now sitting peacefully in his solid, safe home. Let's all put an end to our earthquake nightmares together."
'THE POLES IN OUR HOUSE WERE OPENED AND RUSTY'Kenan Temel, who made a statement in his new house, said that their old house was in such bad condition that it could collapse in a 6.2 magnitude earthquake. Temel said, "The poles in our house were open, they were rusted, you could almost put your finger in. When you dig with a screwdriver, the iron bars are gone. It is obvious that there is sea sand. Because it has rotted the iron bars. I was plastering the houses, and 5-10 days later I looked and saw that they were open again. Then we decided to transform. We lived in our house comfortably during the 6.2 magnitude earthquake. If we had not transformed it, it would have collapsed; now we have peace of mind. Even if there is a 7-8 magnitude earthquake, I will not leave my house, God willing."
