Fire in paint workshop in Antalya: 12 people affected by smoke

A fire that broke out in a paint workshop in the Akdeniz Industrial Site of Antalya's Kepez district caused panic. The fire, which started for an unknown reason, grew rapidly despite the intervention of the workers.
Paint and Flammables Were Taken Out When the fire was noticed, the business owner and employees tried to take out flammable materials such as paint and thinner. After the incident was reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center, many firefighters and medical teams were dispatched to the area.
Health teams provided oxygen to 12 people affected by the smoke in ambulances. It was learned that some employees suffered burns on their hands during the fire.
İsmail Güneş, one of the citizens who intervened in the fire, said that when they noticed the fire, they tried to extinguish it on the roof , but the flames could not be controlled.
"We intervened by taking the vehicles inside out, but we could not extinguish the fire. The fire brigade came and extinguished it. There were flammable materials inside, such as paint and thinner, and they burned. There was great material damage," he said.
