Metrobus accident in Beylikdüzü: 1 person died, 20 people were injured

The accident occurred at around 16:00. According to the information received, the metrobus traveling in the direction of Büyükçekmece crashed into the back of another metrobus traveling in the same direction at the Haramidere Sanayi stop. One person died in the accident, and 20 passengers were injured, two of them seriously. Police, fire department and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. The injured were taken to the hospital by ambulance after the first intervention of the medical teams. While the metrobus suffered major damage due to the accident, services were provided on a single lane for a while. The activity at the metrobus stop after the accident was captured from the air.

The governor's office made a statement

In a statement made by the Istanbul Governor's Office, it was stated that "On Saturday, May 10, at around 16:00, 1 citizen lost his life and 20 citizens were injured, 2 of whom were seriously injured, in the accident that occurred as a result of the collision of 2 metrobuses at the Beylikdüzü Haramidere Metrobus Stop. Our injured citizens were taken to nearby hospitals by our healthcare teams that arrived at the scene and are receiving treatment." Crime scene investigation teams are continuing their work at the metrobus stop.
