On July 25, 2025, İGA Istanbul Airport served a total of 271,836 passengers, earning the title of the airport with the highest number of passengers in a single day in Europe. On the same day, İGA Istanbul Airport recorded 134,750 arrivals and 137,086 departures. This achievement surpasses the previous record set by London Heathrow Airport, which held the leading position with 268,000 passengers on June 30, 2024.

İGA Istanbul Airport has recently attracted attention not only for its passenger traffic but also for its flight volume. With 1,695 air traffic movements on July 18, 2025, it broke another significant record by reaching the highest number of daily flights since its opening.

These achievements once again underscore the critical importance of İGA Istanbul Airport's strategic role in global aviation.
