He confessed to killing his father 17 years later and was arrested.

A murder committed in Yozgat in 2008 has been solved. According to reports, although M.Ü., a resident of Yozgat, was shot and killed in his home in 2008, it was alleged that his children covered up the incident by making it look like a natural death and buried the deceased in the village cemetery.
Acting on the instructions of the Yozgat Chief Public Prosecutor's Office upon receiving a tip, the Yozgat Provincial Gendarmerie Command conducted operations in Yozgat, Ankara and Bursa and detained nine suspects.
As a result of detailed study, research and evidence collected 17 years later, it was determined that M.Ü. was killed with a firearm.
In his statement at the Yozgat Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Y.Ü., one of the deceased's children, confessed that he killed his father, M.Ü, with a firearm.
Y.Ü. was arrested and delivered to Yozgat Closed Penitentiary.
The other suspects were released on probation after giving their statements.
