Official: Hugo Rodallega has renewed his contract with Santa Fe; the top scorer will stay until 2026.
This Monday, November 10, Independiente Santa Fe confirmed the renewal of striker Hugo Rodallega 's contract, in one of the most anticipated pieces of news for the Cardinal fans.
He is one of the key players for the Cardinal team, the top scorer of the previous semester, the hero of the tenth star, and someone who was even thinking about retirement.
Rodallega's future was uncertain. It was even suggested he might not renew his contract, however, the club has now clarified that 'Hugol' will wear the red and white jersey next season.

This agreement comes at a time when the 'lions' are fighting for a spot in the semifinal quadrangulars of the League, and amid reports about the possible departure of Harold Santiago Mosquera.
"Our championship-winning captain has renewed his contract with León and will be in the 2026 Libertadores Cup," the club wrote on its social media.

At 40 years old, Rodallega has become a key player for the club. Since his arrival in January 2023, when he came from Bahia in Brazil, he has scored more than 50 goals.
Now, with his future confirmed until December 2026, he aspires to continue contributing to the club's objectives, which are already thinking about next year's international competition: the Copa Libertadores.
