Argentine League: Rivadavia Basket stole a resounding victory with authority in Santiago del Estero

ARGENTINE BASKETBALL LEAGUE. Rivadavia defeated an Independiente team that is struggling (0-3). Star player: Simon Hunt with 22 points and 17 rebounds.

Independiente began erratically and on the counter-attack, and the visitors capitalized, taking an early 14-4 lead . After Rovner's timeout , the game evened out, with both teams trading blows. The first ten minutes ended with Rivadavia leading 28-17 .

The second quarter remained close. Both teams had scoring opportunities. Inde relied on a strong performance from Baeza and the introduction of Castillo . Rivadavia made several substitutions and, with a balanced scoring effort, maintained their lead. Towards the end of the quarter, both teams went scoreless , and the quarter ended 17-18 (34-46).
After the long break, the orange team began to confirm their good form with remarkable efficiency. Four three-pointers in five minutes allowed them to widen their lead against the devils. Playing good basketball, with patience and Hunt's scoring, Rivadavia built a 22-point advantage with three minutes left to play against a disoriented Independiente team that, with long possessions, tried to force a basket through Amicucci . Heading into the final quarter, the score was 51-69.

Inde's response was swift. In the first 1:30, they went on an 8-2 run, highlighted by two three-pointers from Morera , forcing Saborido to call a timeout with the score at 59-71. Led by Lange and Zarco, the home team continued to close the gap , getting within six points with 6:30 remaining (66-72) . In the second half, Inde struggled again on offense, allowing the visitors to run the floor and gradually regain the lead in the final three minutes. Led by Llanos and Perez , Saborido's team controlled the game, with Hunt continuing his hot streak . The match ended with a 90-72 victory for the Mendoza team.
