They will study the impact of the Punta Bergantín project in Villa Montellano.

The Punta Bergantín tourism and real estate development will include a technical study that will measure its economic impact on the municipality of Villa Montellano , Puerto Plata province, as part of efforts to ensure sustainable growth focused on real benefits for the community.

The analysis will be carried out by the Santo Domingo Institute of Technology ( Intec ), after being awarded the contract in a bidding process .

The research will be conducted by tourism sector specialists and professors from the university's Economics and Business Department , who will provide " reliable data , rigorous analysis, and objective recommendations," said Intec 's acting rector, Alliet Ortega.

He added that the goal is to evaluate the economic and social implications of planned investments and provide technical tools to guide decision-making to maximize the benefits of development in the surrounding area.

• The Punta Bergantín project is part of an agenda to strengthen the hotel and real estate market in the north of the country , combining private investment with local community development and a boost to domestic and foreign investment.

The agreement was signed between the project's executive director, Andrés Marranzini Grullón , and the acting rector of Intec, Alliet Ortega Rabassa , in an event attended by representatives of both institutions.

During the event, the role of the late rector Julio Sánchez Mariñez , who promoted the initiative, was recognized.
