Goodbye to the Go Forum: Cofoce will focus on promoting MSMEs and women entrepreneurs.
León , Guanajuato.- The Go Forum , an event that was scheduled to hold its ninth edition this year, will no longer be held in Guanajuato.
This event, a flagship event of the Coordinator for the Promotion of Foreign Trade (Cofoce) , was launched in 2017 to celebrate the Coordinator's 25th anniversary; since then, it has been held annually at the Poliforum León.
The format included presentations with internationally renowned speakers and was typically held over two days. Even in 2020 and 2021—during the COVID pandemic—it was adapted to be held virtually for continued success.
Among the speakers attending the eighth and final edition , held on October 17 and 18, 2024, were athlete Carl Lewis and Mexican astronaut Katya Echazarreta . The last edition drew 2,500 attendees.
This year, Cofoce received 9.6 million pesos less from the state government 's budget. AM reported that in 2024 the Coordinator received 68.6 million pesos, and by 2025 this figure had been reduced to 59 million pesos.
"Foto Go won't be held, but we have two important events in its place," Cofoce confirmed through its communications department.
They explained that the events are coming soon. One is focused entirely on MSME exports, while the other is aimed at women entrepreneurs, working in collaboration with the 10,000 Women for Mexico association.
They announced that the event will change its name and format, as they seek to focus on the business meeting, which will feature 50 international buyers, the main differentiator of the Go Forum.
He announced the impactIn December 2024, Luis Ernesto Rojas Ávila , director of Cofoce , explained that the budget reduction would impact them with the disappearance of three programs: Development of the export offer , I already export , and Trade Export.

At the time, Rojas Ávila acknowledged that the elimination of these programs would entail adjustments to the Coordinator's staff and administration.
We're looking inside Cofoce, we're looking for ways to reinvent the model to achieve this," he said.
He also announced that he would be looking for ways to offset this budget shortfall, and that they would do so through the development of high-value products.
