Bilbao initially had hope for a miracle. Mikel Jaureguizar (31st minute) skillfully curled the ball into the net to give the visitors a long-lasting lead. Only after the break did coach Ruben Amorim's team turn the game around thanks to goals from Mason Mount (72nd/90th+1), Casemiro (80th), and striker Rasmus Höjlund (85th). After 2021 (10-11 on penalties against Villarreal) and 2017 (2-0 against Ajax Amsterdam), Manchester United are in the Europa League final for the third time.

Spurs won the UEFA Cup in 1972 and 1984 and are now in with a chance to triumph in its successor, the Europa League, for the first time. For Tottenham, Dominic Solanke (63') and Pedro Porro (69') sealed the deal after just over an hour of play.
