Bencic had to fend off the only two break opportunities from Parks, ranked 60th in the world, at 4-3 in the second set. Although the usually strong server made things easy for her with a plethora of errors, Bencic played extremely cleverly, moved superbly, and dispelled any doubts about her fitness.
