BPOLD 11: Federal Police helicopters again assisted in fighting the forest fire. Since July 1, 2025, the Federal Police Air Service has been supporting the federal states of Brandenburg (Treuenbrietzen, Jüterbog), Saxony (Gohrischheide), and Thuringia (Saalfelder Höhen) in fighting various forest fires. During a total of 216 approaches, the crews dropped approximately 388,800 liters of water on the forest and vegetation fires.

The Federal Police Aviation Group of Federal Police Directorate 11 is headquartered in Sankt Augustin near Bonn.
