Bafin: Reporting threshold for manager share transactions rises to 50,000 euros

This is expected to reduce the number of reports by up to a third, the authority stated. With the planned general ruling, BaFin is taking advantage of new flexibility granted by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA).
Until 2019, the threshold was 5,000 eurosAccording to the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG) and the EU Market Abuse Regulation (MAR), members of the management and supervisory boards, as well as their relatives, are currently required to immediately report share transactions involving their own company's securities as soon as they total at least €20,000 within a calendar year. Until 2019, the threshold was €5,000. Companies then publish these reports in a mandatory disclosure.
