Tina Knowles Reveals Why Rumi Carter Is Mirroring Blue Ivy’s ‘Every Move’ on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour

Rumi Carter made her stage debut on the opening night of her mom Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour, instantly stealing the spotlight and delighting fans. Since then, some people have noticed that the 7-year-old seems to be borrowing moves from her big sister, 13-year-old Blue Ivy, as the tour continues. Her grandmother Tina Knowles confirmed it, telling fans on Instagram that Rumi is learning from Blue in the best way.
Tina reposted a video of Rumi walking onstage, writing, “RUMI HIT THE STAGE WITH A LITTLE RUNWAY STRUT 😭💅🏽 She said, ‘Oh, we walkin’? Say less.’ It’s giving big sis energy in training. 🥹”
She added, “The way she watches Blue and mirrors her every move… you can tell she’s taking notes. She doesn’t just want to join the legacy…she wants to SLAY it too! Rumi said on last tour that she was ready to hit the stage. She learned choreography and was ready. I’m so happy to see her on stage with her mommy and her sister. She really did straight out there. One day she’s gonna cut loose and walk down the runway one day you watch!! Rumi❤️❤️ is also a great songwriter already! She will be a force to be reckoned with just wait!❤️❤️”

Rumi, Blue, and their brother, Sir, have been learning their mother’s choreography for years. Beyoncé explained why to GQ in September, saying, “My kids come with me everywhere I go. They come to my office after school, and they are in the studio with me. They are in dance rehearsals. It’s natural that they would learn my choreography.”
She called out Blue’s talents because of her oldest daughter’s appearance as a dancer on the Renaissance Tour. Beyoncé said, “Blue is an artist. She has great taste in music and fashion. She is a fantastic editor, painter, and actress. She has been creating characters since she was three. She’s a natural, but I did not want Blue onstage. Blue wanted it for herself. She took it seriously and she earned it. And most importantly, she had fun! We all watched her grow more and more every night before our eyes.”
