Arda Güler made two assists, Real Madrid advanced to the semi-finals

Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund faced off in the quarter-finals of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Real Madrid defeated their opponent 3-2 in the match, in which Arda Güler made an assist, and advanced to the semi-finals.

Real Madrid started the match quickly and took the lead in the 10th minute. Gonzalo, who received the ball in the penalty area after Arda Güler's cross, sent the ball into the net. Real Madrid doubled the lead in the 20th minute through Francisco Garcia. The first half ended with Real Madrid leading 2-0.

In the second half, neither team managed to change the score until extra time, while Borussia Dortmund reduced the difference to one in the 90+2nd minute. Maximilian Beier, who met the ball in the penalty area that the defense could not clear, sent the ball into the net with a neat shot from the ground. Kylian Mbappe's goal in the 90+4th minute with Arda Güler's pass from Real Madrid increased the difference to two again. Donny Huijsen in the 90+6th minute of Real Madrid was sent off after receiving a red card after causing a penalty. Serhou Guirassy's goal from the penalty in the 90+8th minute determined the score of the match.

With this result, Real Madrid became the team that made it to the semi-finals.
