5 cancer drugs included in the reimbursement list

Following the cabinet meeting, AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a statement about cancer drugs that were included in the reimbursement list.

Erdoğan announced that 5 drugs used in 25 different cancer treatments were included in the Social Security Institution (SGK) reimbursement scope and made the following statements:

"Previously, our patients were obtaining these cancer drugs with their own means and suing the Social Security Institution. In this process, not only were the patients victimized, but also the high drug prices and court costs were creating a serious cost for the Social Security Institution budget."

Erdoğan said, "We are thus taking a very meaningful step for our 48 thousand cancer patients and their families."
