The package the lawyer was carrying exploded

Tomakin left his office in the Bahçelievler neighborhood of Ordu's Altınordu district with a package in hand. The package he was carrying exploded shortly afterward. The explosion injured Tomakin's hands and face. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene after being alerted by bystanders. Tomakin was taken to a private hospital in the city. In a written statement, the Ordu Bar Association said, "We are meticulously monitoring the general health and progress of our Bar Association member, Attorney Muhammet Emre Tomakin, following this tragic incident. We wish our colleague a speedy recovery."

While it was evaluated that there may be a battery in the package, it was stated that an investigation was launched into the incident.
