Irregularities in the driver's license exam! 40 arrests in 6 provinces

An operation was carried out in 6 provinces, centered in Gaziantep, upon allegations of irregularities in the motor vehicle driver's license exam.

Of the 48 suspects detained in the operation, 40 were arrested.

According to the statement made by the Governor's Office, the Police Department teams, under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, started an investigation against the suspects who entered the motor vehicle driver's license exams held in the city between 2019 and 2025 as "jokers" and acted as intermediaries instead of trainees who wanted to have a driver's license.

In simultaneous operations conducted on July 1st in 6 provinces centered in Gaziantep against those who committed these crimes, 48 ​​suspects were detained. It was determined that 8 suspects were in prison for various crimes.

During the search conducted at the addresses, a gun, a cheating device, 3 exam entry documents belonging to someone else, 2 IDs belonging to someone else and a large number of digital materials were seized.

Following the procedures at the police station, 40 of the 48 suspects who were referred to the courthouse were arrested by the judge to whom they were brought. 8 suspects were released on condition of judicial control.
