The release of GTA 6 was postponed until next year. While the effects of this were still ongoing, Rockstar made a move and released the second trailer for the game. As soon as it was released, millions of people watched it. The trailer reached 84 million people on YouTube alone in a short time, and over 470 million people in 24 hours when its views on other platforms were included. This shows that the game has surpassed the impact of the first trailer.
GTA 6 INFLUENCE CONTINUESGTA 6, which has managed to become one of the most anticipated games of all time, can only stay alive with trailers. After the second trailer released on Tuesday, GTA 6 became the agenda topic not only in the gaming world but also in the entire internet world.
After this, Rockstar Games made a statement and announced that the trailer received 475 million views on its first day.
The second trailer for the game has been actively watched by approximately 93 million people and continues to increase every day. The song playing in the video was The Pointer Sisters' Hot Together, released in 1986. The song reportedly increased its streams on Spotify by 182,000 percent.
Tom Petty's Love Is a Long Road, featured in the first trailer, also saw a 37,000 percent increase in views in the previous period. Although Tom Petty is much more popular than The Pointer Sisters, this proves how effective GTA 6 can be in terms of music.
Spotify's global editor-in-chief, Sulinna Ong, also commented on the matter, saying that GTA's power to influence popular culture is "unlike anything else."
