First Solo Turkish Excitement in the Skies of Kocatepe

Afyonkarahisar is preparing for the 103rd anniversary celebrations of the Great Offensive and the Great Victory. Victory Week, celebrated with great enthusiasm every year from August 25th to 30th, will once again feature a variety of programs this year.

At the final meeting chaired by Afyonkarahisar Governor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kübra Güran Yiğitbaşı, the details of the celebration program were evaluated.

The events will begin at first light on Tuesday, August 26th, with a program held at Kocatepe, where the Great Offensive began. Activities will include a Great Offensive Bicycle Tour, wreath-laying, speeches, and a recounting of the historic operation led by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

This year's celebrations will be further enhanced by a surprise: SOLOTÜRK's first-ever demonstration flight over Kocatepe. The SOLOTÜRK team will captivate spectators with breathtaking acrobatics and will also perform a salute and a tribute flight.
