Attention to those with old type driving license! Last 30 days

According to the statement made by the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs, in accordance with the temporary article 10 of the Highway Traffic Regulation, the validity period of old type driver's licenses will expire as of July 31, 2025. After this date, old type driver's licenses will be considered invalid.

For the renewal of old driver's licenses, 15 lira will be paid until July 31. This fee will increase to 7,438 lira for a Class B driver's license as of August 1.

After the citizens apply from all provincial and district population directorates, driver's licenses are sent by the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs within 2 business days at the latest. During the delivery process, vehicles can be driven with a temporary driver's license obtained from the population directorates or via e-Government.
