Another surprise in the Club World Cup! The English giant was eliminated

In the last 16 round of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal and English team Manchester City met at the Camping World Stadium in Florida, USA.
Manchester City took a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute with a goal scored by Bernardo Silva. The rest of the first half continued evenly, and the English team entered the halftime break with the upper hand. Al Hilal started the second half quickly, and equalized in the 46th minute with a header by Leonardo. Al Hilal took a 2-1 lead with a goal by Malcolm after a counter-attack in the 52nd minute, but their lead lasted only 3 minutes. Manchester City equalized 2-2 with a goal by Haaland after a scuffle following Bernardo Silva's corner kick in the 55th minute. There were no more goals scored in the rest of the match, and the game went into extra time.
AL HILAL WON IN OVERTIME
Al Hilal started the extra time effectively. The Saudi Arabian team took the lead 3-2 with Koulibaly’s header after a corner kick in the 94th minute. Towards the end of the first half of the extra time, Manchester City equalized the score 3-3 with Foden in the 104th minute. Al Hilal showed their influence in the second half of the extra time. Leonardo scored his second and his team’s fourth goal after the scramble in the 113th minute.
Manchester City threw in the towel early in the tournament as the 120 minutes of the match ended with Al Hilal leading 4-3.
Al Hilal will face Brazilian team Fluminense, who eliminated Inter, in the quarter-finals.
