Yemen missiles target Tel Aviv, flights suspended

A missile attack was launched from Yemen against Israel. Israeli Channel 12 television reported that sirens were heard in and around the capital, Tel Aviv. The report also reported that Ben Gurion Airport's airspace was closed and flights were suspended after the missile was detected.
The Israeli military said in a statement that the missile was launched from Yemen toward central Israel and successfully intercepted by air defense systems. The statement also noted that fragments of the missile landed in various locations in central Israel.
The Israeli emergency aid agency, the Red Star of David, reported that several civilians who rushed to shelters during the missile strike sustained minor injuries. No details were released on the number of injuries.
The Houthis in Yemen occasionally target Israel, which has resumed its violent attacks on the Gaza Strip after breaking the ceasefire agreement reached on January 19, with ballistic missiles and drones.
