A new page will be opened in tourism with the entry of Turkish cuisine, which is highly appreciated for its diversity and taste, into world lists.

Turkish Cuisine Week, which has been celebrated simultaneously in Turkey and abroad every year since 2022 under the auspices of the Presidency and with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, will introduce the healthy, waste-free and sustainable face of our deep-rooted cuisine to the world.

This year, the week will be celebrated for the fourth time between May 21-27 and will be held with the theme of "Classic Dishes of Turkish Cuisine". Reflecting the traditional, healthy, waste-free and sustainable heritage of Turkish cuisine, "Classics" will attract attention as unique examples that reveal the naturalness of our cuisine, unique cooking and preservation techniques and richness of flavor.

These flavors, which bear the traces of Anatolia's centuries-old traditions, will reflect both the diversity of our cuisine and its universal value. Our classic dishes, whose names are known internationally but whose recipes are not well-known, will be introduced to the world with these events, while remaining true to their historical roots.

It will be explained in this context that traditional recipes can be kept alive in a sustainable and healthy way in the modern world. Turkish Cuisine Week, which will be celebrated with classic dishes, will have a special meaning in terms of showing how ancient knowledge from the past meets the present.

In domestic celebrations, basic recipes and products that make up the local cuisine of 81 provinces will be prepared and a colorful range of flavors will be created.

Events will also be held in Türkiye's foreign missions

Special menus consisting of classic dishes of Turkish cuisine will be prepared with the participation of Türkiye's leading chefs. Through these events, different cultures will come together at the tables and the sincerity and unique tastes of traditional Turkish hospitality will be introduced to the world.

The closing event of the week, which is organized with a different theme every year, will be held in Cappadocia, one of the favorite destinations of Turkish tourism, hosted by Cappadocia University.
