Ministry of Agriculture announced: Poultry meat was detected in the product sold as beef and lamb

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry once again shared with the public the companies that were determined to be involved in counterfeiting and adulteration.

In the list published by the ministry on guvenilirgida.tarimorman.gov.tr ​​on July 1, it was revealed that many companies from all over Türkiye were mixing offal, equidae and poultry meat into their meat products.

Two companies from Niğde were among the companies identified as having committed counterfeit and adulterated products, published on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

They mixed offal into the meatballs

It was announced that during the inspections, it was determined that these companies actually used poultry meat in the meatball products they sold as "beef and lamb".

In the announced list, it was disclosed that poultry meat was detected in the mixed beef-lamb meatballs of the businesses named Çukurova Et, Gıda Tarım Ürünleri and Pehlivan Et operating in Niğde.
