The principles of the tariff quota opened for grinding ball imports have been determined.

The "Communiqué on the Administration of Quota and Tariff Quotas in Imports" prepared by the Ministry of Trade was published in the Official Gazette.

The Communiqué regulated the procedures and principles for using the tariff quota opened for the purpose of providing exemption from the safeguard measure applied as an additional financial liability for grinding ball imports.

Accordingly, the tariff quota amount will be 1,040 tons for each period for which the additional financial liability applies. The tariff quota allocated for goods originating from each country or customs territory in a single period will not exceed 347 tons.

Tariff quotas will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The maximum tariff quota allowed for an import license is 20 tons.

The circular entered into force as of August 26.
