NEWS CENTER

The Zeytinli Rock Festival, which was banned by the Sarıyer District Governorship and later allowed to be held by the decision of the Regional Administrative Court, has been banned once again.

In a statement made by Milyon Yapım, the organizer of the Zeytinli Rock Festival, it was announced that the stay of execution decision taken by the Regional Administrative Court was annulled.

The statement stated that the festival was banned again and the following statements were used:

The Sarıyer District Governor's Office appealed the stay of execution we obtained from the Regional Administrative Court on August 21, 2025, to a higher court on August 22, 2025, and a decision was made to overturn the stay of execution at 3:00 PM. Despite all our efforts, we are deeply saddened by the fact that we cannot continue the Zeytinli Rock Festival. We would like to express our gratitude to all our hard-working colleagues who supported the process, stood by us in our legal battle, and set up the entire festival area in 24 hours, to our artist friends who offered their unwavering support, and to all the participants who came to the festival area despite everything and trusted us. Ticket purchasers reserve the right to refund their tickets through the same channels they purchased them. We hope to see you on beautiful and hopeful days.

CANCELLED FOR THE THIRD TIME

The festival was planned to be held in Kilyos, Sarıyer, Istanbul, between 21-24 August.

The Zeytinli Rock Festival was originally scheduled to be held in Marmaris this year, but the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change revoked the festival permit a week before the festival, citing the area's status as a "Special Environmental Protection Area." This resulted in the cancellation of the third edition.

The festival program featured Türkiye's leading rock and pop artists. Concerts were to be given on two separate stages by artists such as Duman, Athena, Emre Aydın, Hande Yener, Selda Bağcan, Feridun Düzağaç, and Redd.
