🔹 AA Live for instant developmentsThe house, which was used as the Governor's Office for a period and which the people of Antalya cleaned and furnished in a few days upon hearing that Atatürk would visit Antalya, was given to Atatürk as a gift. After his death, it was allocated to various institutions and a school.
Transferred to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 1984, the building was demolished and rebuilt slightly back from the street during the implementation of the city's new zoning plan. Rebuilt with the same materials and architectural features, the building opened to the public in 1986 as the Atatürk House Museum.

The museum, where Atatürk's personal belongings, furniture, clothes, photographs and newspapers from the periods of his visits are exhibited, reflects the culture of those days, Atatürk's artistic taste and lifestyle.
The museum's ground floor contains an exhibition of newspaper clippings and photographs related to Atatürk's visit to Antalya, a projector room where a documentary on Atatürk and Antalya can be watched, an office and a dining room in the entrance hall. The upper floor houses a bedroom, two studies, a section called the "Museum Room" where Atatürk's personal belongings are exhibited, and a separate section where coins, banknotes, stamps, and commemorative coins printed from the founding of the Republic to the present are exhibited.

The museum, which is free to enter every day of the week, welcomes more visitors on special days such as October 29th and November 10th. The Antalya Atatürk House Museum is also bustling with activity on the 87th anniversary of the passing of the Great Leader Atatürk. The museum is visited by both locals and foreign tourists, as well as student groups from schools.
Neşe Ulusoy, a teacher who visited the museum, told an AA correspondent that they brought their nursery and kindergarten students to the museum for November 10, Atatürk Memorial Day.

Ulusoy explained that they tour the museum to introduce and explain Atatürk's life to children more closely, rather than just through books. "We bring our children in groups, especially during the week of November 10th," he said. "First, they watch a film about his life in the cinema room, and then they get the opportunity to see his rooms and personal belongings."
High school student Dila Güzey, noting that she visited the museum with her classmates, said, "I love Atatürk very much. I visit the museum often. I'm very happy to be here. I've seen the room where Atatürk stayed, his bed, his personal belongings, old photographs, and coins. Seeing traces of the past is very exciting."
One of the students, Kıvanç Karacula, said that seeing Atatürk's personal belongings made him very emotional.
