'Van Gogh: Chasing the Light' exhibition at the Digital Experience Center!

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Culture Inc. is hosting a special exhibition that brings together the universal language of art and the transformative power of technology. The digital exhibition, "Van Gogh: In Search of Light," introduces art lovers to the works of Vincent Van Gogh , one of the most important painters of the 19th century, through a multi-sensory journey of discovery.
The exhibition, which will be held in the high-tech space of the Digital Experience Center and open to the public on Saturday, August 23rd, reinterprets Van Gogh's world, woven with light, color, and hope, through artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality applications, interactive projections, and site-adapted installations. Comprised of sections such as the Digital Room, Virtual Reality Room, Immersive Experience Room, Augmented Reality Room, and Digital Corridor, the exhibition also offers visitors the opportunity to step into the artist's inner world.
Stages and experiential spaces located throughout the space transport the viewer from a beginning that delves into Van Gogh's subconscious, through his youth, to his creative periods chasing the sun, and to the endless vistas opening from the window of his hospital room in Saint-Rémy. The warmth of yellow, the vibrancy of nature, and the healing connection forged through color even in the darkest moments are brought to life in the space's digital textures and sound design.
VISITORS WILL EMBRACE THE JOURNEY WITH VAN GOGH . Osman Cenk Akın, General Manager of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Culture Inc. , commented on the exhibition, "We are delighted to present the life story and works of Vincent Van Gogh, one of the most important figures in world art history, to the audience at the Digital Experience Center. The Van Gogh: On the Trail of Light exhibition retells the painter's world, enveloped in light and color, in today's language and with today's technology, offering each of us the opportunity to discover our own inner light."
The selection, which includes a total of 13 works by artists including Design in Situ, Fuat Genç, Lucid Realities, Nohlab, Özde Karadağ, and Ufuk Barış Mutlu, will showcase 10 works specifically produced for the Digital Experience Museum and will be presented to the public for the first time. Nohlab's works, previously exhibited in Dublin, will be seen in the Immersive Experience Room and Augmented Reality Room of the Digital Experience Museum for the first time in Turkey. Following its premiere in Paris, the VR experience created by VR Future for the Orsay Museum will be presented to visitors for the first time in Turkey at the Digital Experience Museum. This will mark the first time that all 13 works will be presented to the public together, exclusively through a special selection by Kültür AŞ.
